“Best Cancun Restaurants”
La Habichuela Sunset and its sister property, La Habichuela, which is located in downtown Cancun, both serve fine Mayan, Mexican, Caribbean and international cuisine. They even have a key on the menu to help you order. Both have lovely garden areas and excellent food & service. The menu is the same in both locations and the main differences in the two restaurants are the location and the view. La Habichuela Sunset is in the Hotel Zone on Nichupte Lagoon. The sun sets over the lagoon each evening, which means this restaurant offers spectacular views of Cancun’s sunsets. – USA Today 10 Best
“5 Best Cancun Restaurants”
La Habichuela Sunset – Not only does this restaurant serve the most authentic Caribbean and Mexican cuisine in Cancun, it’s also known as one of the most memorable spots for a romantic dinner. Its design is inspired by ancient Mayan architecture and the famous haciendas of Yucatan, and the gorgeous garden sits right by Nichupte Lagoon. – Travel and Leisure
“Best of Cancun”
White wrought iron chairs cluster around candlelit tables beneath backlit replicas of Mayan deities and stelae in a garden setting reminiscent of a Yucatecan hacienda. That influence extends to a menu of shrimp with huitlacoche (a truffle-like corn fungus), cream of habichuela (bean) soup or the aphrodisiacal Xtabentun Honey Coculnich Cocktail. Flames flare as waiters prepare classic crepas con cajeta. – Insider Guide CNN

Open since 1977, the much-loved “Green Bean” has an elegant yet cozy indoor dining room plus an outdoor area full of Mayan sculptures and local flora. Seafood lovers can satisfy their cravings by ordering Caribbean lobster tail or giant shrimp prepared 10 different ways. The menu also features chicken, pasta, and grilled kabobs. Finish off your meal with Xtabentun, a Mayan liqueur made with honey and anise. – Fodor’s Travel
